The CAREC Regional Investment Framework for Health 2022–2028:
Implementing the CAREC Health Strategy 2030

Implementing the CAREC Health Strategy 2030 will require an enabling environment which includes platforms for country dialogue and exchange as well as political commitment, oversight by the CAREC Working Group on Health, engaging with different partners working in the health sector such as the World Health Organization, who provide resources and technical assistance, and capacity development and knowledge generation on regional health cooperation.

Besides this enabling environment, every strategy requires a clear roadmap for implementation. For CAREC’s Health Strategy 2030, that roadmap is the Regional Investment Framework (RIF). Developed in consultation with CAREC countries, the RIF is a country‑owned tool to prioritize projects and technical assistance that strengthen regional health security and cooperation. The framework was updated during the 6th meeting of the Working Group on Health and now extends until 2028.
